Полукондензацијске конструкције у српском језику

Abstract

Предмет рада је попис и опис полукондензацијских конструкција у савременом српском језику. Сам термин полукондензација чак је непознатији од појаве коју именује, и то не само у србистици. За разлику од распрострањеног и готово општеприхваћеног термина „кондензација реченице”, о појави полукондензације, по правилу без терминолошког одређења, у србистичкој синтакси може се наићи тек на покоји мимогредан коментар. Полукондензацијом зависних клауза сматрамо превођење зависне везничке финитне клаузе у нефинитну конструкцију у којој је задржан везник или дио везника зависне клаузе и предикатив као еквивалент именског предиката из финитне клаузе. У раду се издвајају сви типови полукондензованих структура српскога језика, описује њихов синтаксичко-семантички статус и одређује када и зашто полукондензоване јединице имају статус клауза, а када статус само члана просте реченице, првенствено предикатског апозитива.

The term semi-condensation itself, more than the phenomenon it names, is unknown not only to Serbian but also to linguists in general. In contrast to the widespread and almost universally accepted term „condensation of the sentence”, about the occurrence of semi-condensation, as a rule without terminological determination, in Serbian syntax one can only come across a few passing comments. By semi-condensation of dependent clauses, we consider the translation of a dependent conjunctive finite clause into a non-finite construction in which the conjunction or part of the conjunction of the dependent clause and the predicate are retained as the equivalent of the nominal predicate from the finite clause. The paper showes that semi-condensation, considering whether it is realized with a dependent conjunction or only with the first part of a complex dependent conjunction, is realized as: a) conjunction, and b) „semi-conjunction”. The conjunction is achievable only with subordinating concessive monolexical conjunctions iako, mada, premda i makar (albeit, though, although and even though). Semi-condensed conjunctive concessive structures, since dependent conjunctions are only conjunctions of dependent clauses, we consider to be verbless clauses. „Semi-conjunctive” semi-condensers arise only from dependent clauses with complex conjunctions, and not all of them, but only from causative clauses with the conjunction budući da (since), comparatively equivalent with the conjunction kao što (as), and comparatively differential with the conjunction nego što (than) – by these conjunctions being reduced to their first component: budući, kao i nego (since, as well as and than). Since their „conjunctive component” is not a complete conjunction of a dependent clause (it cannot itself introduce a dependent clause into a complex one), semi-conjunctive semi-condensers, unlike conjunctive ones, are not clauses – but non-clausal sentence members, namely predicate appositives (with budući i kao – since and as) and comparative complement (with nego – than).
