Prilog proučavanju sistema gramatičkog člana u semitskim jezicima
A contribution to the studies on grammatical article in Semitic languages
Апстракт
While Semitists were earlier mainly interested in the origin of the grammatical article, some newer studies in separate Semitic languages, Arabic language in particular, allow us to consider other aspects regarding formal and functional characteristics of that system too. Inventory of the morphemes that constitute the system of the grammatical article, along with description of their distribution in nominal phrase, genitive phrase (Construct State) and simple nominal sentence, give us an opportunity to consider its special morphological and syntactical relevance, as well as to analyze causes of certain changes and their effects in a number of Semitic languages. The largest space is given to a number of changes in aforementioned constructions caused mainly by a loss of "classical" Semitic grammatical article.
